The passion and skill of 3 cellar masters over 3 decades has resulted in an iconic South African wine.
The year was 1994 - and with a savagely hot summer the sugar in the grapes rose faster than we could harvest and the Cap Classique we had planned was looking unlikely. However, our founder, Achim von Arnim, vinified the grapes anyway to see what became of them - and it was magic. South Africa's first Chardonnay Pinot Noir was forged out of skill and ingenuity in the face of a challenge, and became a smashing success with critics and wine lovers alike.
We are extremely proud to have been the first to create it in South Africa, and share it with all of you.
Over 3 decades, we have honed the character and versatility of this wine as a true marriage with food and to be enjoyed. Fresh citrus flavours, underpinned by white peach and red fruit, with balanced acidity.

Pinot Noir may be called the heartbreak grape, but its so worth the reward when you fall in love over and over again with Haute Cabrière Pinot Noir Rosé. We released this for the first time in 2019, and we never looked back. A regular winner of gold ratings, this is an elegant and trendy addition to your table.
Incredible colour of salmon pink, with a candyfloss sheen. This wine has a generous mouthfeel and a soft finish. Enjoy this elegant, dry rosé throughout the year with its aromas of strawberries and rose petals.
